Obituary: Harry Craig

Graveside services for Harry Craig of Grass Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Elm Ridge Cemetery in Grass Valley. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. at Abundant Life Community Church.

Mr. Craig died Friday, March 1, in Grass Valley.



He was born July 27, 1920, in Berkeley. He graduated from Albany High School and attended Placer Junior College and Arizona State University. Mr. Craig retired from Bectel Construction Co. in 1985. He helped with Alcoholics Anonymous for more than 42 years.




He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy of Grass Valley; daughter, Carol Carman of Grass Valley; sons Ray of Truckee and Steven of Louisiana and John of Kentucky; brothers Bill of Hawaii and Tom of Pennsylvania; cousin, Patty Fink of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Hanson; father, Sidney Craig; and brother, Jack Hanson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Abundant Life Church or Alcoholics Anonymous.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels.
