Obituary: Denny Hughes

Graveside services for Denny Hughes of Grass Valley were conducted Jan. 31 at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.



Mr. Hughes died Tuesday, Jan. 22, in Grass Valley. He was 64.




He was born Dec. 13, 1937, in Minneapolis to Arthur and Mabel Hughes. Mr. Hughes graduated from Poly High School in Long Beach in 1956. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Long Beach.

Mr. Hughes enjoyed photography, autograph collecting, 78 rpm records, music and traveling in the United States and abroad.

He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Marge and Ed Murdock of Pilot Hill; and cousin, Patricia Hannon of Twin Falls, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father in 1983 and mother in 1988.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
