Obituary: Cleatis Ulrich

Cleatis Ulrich, 90, of the town of Washington died Wednesday, Dec. 26, in Davis. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Poland, Ind.

Mr. Ulrich was born May 24, 1911, at Owen County, Ind., to Samuel and Flora Alice Ulrich. He completed the eighth grade, worked in shipyards, and later became the head custodian at Nevada Union High School.

He enjoyed beekeeping, gardening and hunting, and was a volunteer firefighter.



Survivors include a brother, Charles Ulrich of Allendale, Mich.; and nieces Bev Houser, Kathy Thibodeau and Debra Snell, all of Grass Valley, Connie Harling of Cloverdale and Mae Branagh of Ozark, Mo. He was preceded in death by his sister, Clara Williams, in 2000.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Fire Department.
