Yolanda Childers died Nov. 25, 2013, at her son’s home. She was 91.

There will be a Memorial Service at 1 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 30, 20123. The service will be held at Twin Cities Church, 11726 Rough and Ready Highway in Grass Valley. See the church’s website for directions; twincitieschurch.com.

Yolanda was born March 28, 1922, in the small Italian town of Zimella. She immigrated to the United States with her family at the tender age of 5. Her family made their way to Nevada City where she attended school. She was married to Hobart “Babe” Childers on Sept. 6, 1942. They raised three boys — Bill, David and Robert.

Yolanda is survived by her brother, Al Soga; sons Bill (Linda), David (Marie) and Robert; grandchildren Chad, Jami, Crystal and John; and great-grandchildren Isabell, Jason, Lily and Jenni.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Nina, Beth and Vicky; and her husband, Babe.

Yolanda was a very outgoing and friendly woman so she had many lifelong friend and acquaintances. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
