Raymond Haskins Jr.

Raymond Francis Haskins Jr., a long-time resident of Nevada County, left this Earth on Nov. 30, 2012, after a long illness. He was 68.

A celebration of his life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 15, 2012, at Bucks Hall, 235 S. Church St, in Grass Valley. Please bring your favorite dish and memory to share.

Raymond was born on July 26, 1944, in Boston, Mass. Nevada County was his home. He worked in construction and for Flyers gas station where everyone was greeted with a smile. He was lovingly known as Papa Ray by many. He was also known by his kind and generous soul.

He leaves his stepson, Dylan Rowe; and step-grandchildren, Sara and Brandon Warren, who loved him very much.
