Obituary of Ronald Carl Drews “Pint”

Ronald Carl Drews passed away on March 4, 2015 in Grass Valley, California. He was 82.

A celebration of life is planned for 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, at Simple Truth Church Northpoint, 455 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

He was born on Oct. 30, 1932 in Hinsdale, Illinois. He married Norma Jean Gutke on March 28, 1953. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War stationed in Augsburg, Germany.

Ronald moved his family to Nevada City in 1975 in search of a better life.

Ron was a man of many interests, a member of E. Clampus Vitus Chapter 10. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., and involved in many other organizations. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by Norma Drews and their three children Bonniesue McKinnon, Steven Drews, Terrie Brocke, seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild due this month.

He is preceded in death by his brother William Drews.
