Obituary of Ron Rovnak

Ron Rovnak left his material body behind on August 30th, 2015 bound for the spiritual world. He left peacefully from his home after a short illness. After meeting Lucille they traveled extensively across the US, Canada, Mexico and Europe finally settling in this area where they bought land, built a home and lived happily together for 38 years. Many of us were fortunate enough to share Ron’s light and his love for life and all beings. He was a rare soul who always had a smile and a joke for everyone he met and always made all people feel happy and comfortable. Everyone loved him and will miss him! Ron was devoted to Lucille, his wife of 44 years, his spiritual path, his art work, his land and also Disc Golf. He loved playing Disc Golf and installed a course on his land. He was invited to play many times in the Professional Disc Golf World Championship and got to play twice alongside Lucille. He loved sports and also played softball and basketball. He was fortunate enough to be surrounded by so many circles of loving friends and family who were so supportive on the West Coast, East Coast and around the world!

Ron is survived his wife Lucille and his 2 sons Ronny and Paul Abbott of Connecticut. We can all be comforted knowing he is in a better place now where we will all meet up again someday! A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, Sept 24th at 3 pm, at the Love Building at Condon Park in Grass Valley everyone is welcome! We are planning an audio/video presentation of his life and his art work followed by a vegetarian potluck dinner in his honor!
