Obituary of Robert “Bob” Bruce Forbe

Robert “Bob” Bruce Forbes passed away at his home on July 17, 2015 in Galt, California. He was 76.

Bob was born Oct. 18, 1938 in Forest, California.

He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1962 and retired from McClellan Air Force Base as a civil engineer in 1993.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, rock hunting and often had a movie camera in his hand at family gatherings. He was a member of First Baptist of Galt and also a member of the Sacramento Medical Foundation where he was awarded a 10-Gallon Donor plaque.

He is survived by his brother Danny Forbes (Denise); sister-in-law Margaret; his loving wife of 36 years, Annie Marie; his children, Tinamarie Forbes-Webb (Philip), Brian Forbes, Karen Forbes (Keith); stepchildren, Linda Rowland (Leon), Teresa Haberern (Mark) and Albert Thomas (Terri); 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was a loving father, husband, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Verda Forbes, and his brother Larry Forbes.

He will be truly missed but his memory will live on in each of us. He will be laid to rest at 2 p.m. Aug. 18 at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, California.
