Obituary of Robert Albrecht

Robert Albrecht

Robert “Bob” Charles Albrecht passed away peacefully at home on March 30, 2015. He was 85.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 6, at Grace Lutheran Church, 1979 Ridge Road, Grass Valley, Calif.

Bob was born July 21, 1929 in Dolton, Illinois.

Bob was many things: husband, father, grandfather, teacher, administrator, coach, athlete, world traveler, referee, umpire, friend, supreme joke/storyteller, house builder, sports fan, and a man of faith in Jesus, the Great Shepherd of the sheep.

Bob is survived by his lovely wife, Mary (Jacobi) of 63 years and his six children, Louise (Jhan), Catherine, Ted (Marie), Bob (Linda), Andy (Laurie), and John; eleven grandchildren, Caitlin, Brianna, Ashley, Keith, Spencer, Kate, Maggie, Joe, Elizabeth, Emma and Jake; and great-grandchild Broc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth; and granddaughter Hattie.

Bob’s family and friends will miss “The Big Guy” with the tender heart.

In memory of Bob, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Foothills or The American Cancer Society.

Arrangements are under the care of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary in Grass Valley.
