Obituary of Rachel Anna Rue

Rachel Anna Rue died on March 17, 2015 in Grass Valley.

A celebration of life is scheduled from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at the Old Towne Cafe on Mill Street, Grass Valley. Potluck for sharing.

She was the daughter of James A. Dehl and Charlotte Boles. She was born Sept. 17, 1942 in Waukegan, Illinois.

She lived in Grass Valley for many years, worked at the Del Oro Theatre, (known as “The Bouncer” for all of her 4’8” height), became actively involved in the Nevada County Democratic Party, served as president of the Nevada County Democratic Women’s Club, and ran for a seat on the Grass Valley City Council in 2008. She is survived by many friends and, especially, many cousins.
