Obituary of Peter A. Lombardo

Peter A. Lombardo passed away, surrounded by his family, on April 26, 2019 at his home in Grass Valley CA. He was 87.

Peter was born in Altoona, PA, on March 1, 1932 to Pietro and Agata Lombardo. He had 5 siblings; Josephina, Samuel, Paula, Agatha and Jenny.

He and his family moved out to Southern California after WWII where Peter joined his father’s stonemason business, PA Lombardo & Son Masonry. He continued this legacy for the rest of his career.

On October 3, 1964 he married his wife Judy and had three children.

In 1974 Peter and his family moved to Grass Valley and bought an apple orchard and farm.

Peter was an outdoor enthusiast and loved camping, boating, windsurfing and skiing. His greatest joys in life were gardening and music. If not with family and friends, Peter could always be found in his garden or playing his guitar.

He is survived by his daughters, Angela Lombardo and Tina Moore and son, Tony Lombardo.

A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m., on June 20, 2019 at Harmony Ridge Lodge located at 18883 State Hwy 20, Nevada City, CA 95959 (530) 478-0615.
