Obituary of Peggy Novak

Peggy E. Novak lost her battle with cancer on Aug. 4, 2014. She was 61.

At her request, no service will be held.

Peggy was born Sept. 7, 1952, in Berkeley, Calif., to Robert and Vivian Cooper. Her family moved to the Grass Valley area in 1964 where Peggy remained until passing.

Peggy graduated from Nevada Union High School in 1970 and began working for the telephone company shortly after that.

She enjoyed her work as a systems analyst for the company. Peggy truly treasured the many lasting friendships she formed with co-workers at all the locations she helped. She retired after 35 years.

She was an animal lover. In addition to her very much loved dogs, she fed the birds and squirrels on her property daily.

Peggy is survived by her sister Dianne (Jack) Crockett of Burns, Ore.; brother Archie (Linda) Cooper of Deming, N.M.; sister Carol (Dean) Gates of Reno, Nev.; and her nieces, nephews and other relatives.
