Obituary of Patricia Hurba

Patricia Ann (nee Humanski) Hurba a much loved wife, mother and grandmother left us due to heart failure on July 13, 2014.

A celebration of Pat’s life will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 9 at the Ponderosa Pines Park Clubhouse, 10135 Timberland Dr. three miles south of Grass Valley. Parking is limited. A memorial service was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Harvard, Ill. on Sat., July 26, 2014.

Patricia was born March 1, 1945 in Chicago, Ill. to John and Sally Humanski. Raised in Chicago, she attended and graduated from St. Josaphat’s High School and then went on to beauty school.

She was a homemaker and hair beautician who loved to cook, garden, collect teddy bears and do craft such as painting pumpkins.

Patricia is survived by her children, Laura (Herman) Lucy and Russell Leipnitz; her husband, Joe Hurba; stepson, Joseph Hurba; five grandchildren, Christine, Kimberly, Neal, Robert and Christina; brother, Bob (Toni) Humanski, four sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Don; mother, Sally and father, John Humanski.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to American Heart Association or Arthritis Foundation.

Arrangements were under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
