Obituary of Patricia Hanna

Patricia Hanna

Patricia Joanne (Trathen) Hanna lost her battle with cancer on Oct. 21, 2014, at home in Grass Valley. She was 73.

The celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2 at Twin Cities Church in Grass Valley.

She was born Sept. 7, 1941, in Grass Valley to Roland Trathen and Bernice (Morteur) Trathen. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Susie Trathen.

She is survived by two sisters, Jane Green and Mary Wirtz; three brothers, Tom, Ric, and Rob Trathen; two sons, Chris (Sandy) and Jeri Russell; daughter Theresa (Ron) Genovese; four grandchildren, James, Felice, Atheena, and Jerome Russell and eight great-grandchildren, Andi, Alex, and Mike Van Horn; Gabriel and Abby Peters; and three of which preceded her to heaven: Ethan, Kori, and Levi Peters.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, bus driver, and police officer. She retired from the Salinas Police Department in 1991. She enjoyed playing games, traveling, swimming, and visiting with friends and family.

Pat was loved by her family and all that knew her.
