Obituary of Marjorie Ann Linch

Marjorie Ann Linch, of Grass Valley, California, passed away Jan. 15, 2016. She was 66.

Margie was born March 15, 1949 in Willows, California to Robert Murray Chappell and Marjorie Ann Penrose-Chappell. Growing up in Willows, Margie developed her love for horses and the outdoors. She spent many of her childhood days with her horses, Chippiwak and Sugar. She graduated from Willows High School and then from Beauty School in Chico, California.

Margie practiced cosmetology for 25 years and then worked at Sierra Nevada Hospital. She met and married Robert Linch, her loving husband of 40 years. They spent much of their free time raising three kids, boating with family and friends, and traveling in their R.V. Margie also enjoyed reading and gardening.

Margie is survived by her husband Robert G. Linch; their three children, Tim (Jackie) Linch, Robert (Lori) Linch, and Vivian (Tim) Drake; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her loving mother Nora Chappell; loving sister Barbara (John) McCrackin; and loving brother Vernon (Chi Chi) Rice. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Marjorie Chappell; and her brother Dennis Chappell.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, 825 A Street, Orland, CA 95963. Burial will be in the Oddfellows Cemetery on County Road P in Orland.
