Obituary of Marilyn Fedor (Jefferson)

Marilyn Fedor (Jefferson) of Grass Valley, CA. passed on January 14, 2016. She was 88.

Interment services will take place at First Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in Alsip, IL. where she

will be laid to rest with her husband of 62 years, Robert.

Marilyn was a loving and giving woman who donated much of her time to helping others.

She was a “Pink Lady” volunteer at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital, and she volunteered at the Nevada City Fire Department. In 1992, Marilyn was elected Lady of the Year by Elks Lodge #518.

She is survived by granddaughters Harmony (Jesse) Williams and Roxanne (Ryan) Lunsford; great-grandchildren Dakota, Kaylee, Caleb and Noah; sisters-in-law Wootsie (Eddie) Rieher, Sanda Jefferson and Mitzi Jefferson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was preceded in death by son Michael; parents James and Louise Jefferson; brothers James (Sanda), Richard (Mitzi), and Jack; sisters Virginia (George) Liptack and Lois (James) Foy.

A memorial service will be held at 1 to 3 p.m., January 31 at the Nevada City Elks Lodge.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
