Margie Kopp

Margie Jacqueline Kopp passed away on Aug. 12, 2015, just short of her 94th Birthday.

A celebration of life with family and friends will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 10 at 108 Gold Tunnel Drive in Nevada City.

Margie was born Oct. 2, 1921 to Thomas Newrick Keckler and Lydia Margie Ellett Kechler. She married Karl Kopp, April 19, 1941. They had sons Karl N. “Buzz” (Judy West) Kopp, David (Elaine) William Kopp, Danielle Melvin (Susan) Kopp; nieces, Cheryl Kopp Huggins and Barbara (Greg) Kopp Wilcox; nephews, George E. (Susan) Steger and William S. (Cambra) Grigg; as well as nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 72 years Karl; sisters, Mary Lou McClary and Polly Grigg; brother Thomas E. Keckler; and nephew John Steger; and her parents.
