Obituary of Margherita Perotti

Margherita Perotti left this life peacefully in Concord, California on Nov. 1, 2015. She was 91.

A native Californian, Margherita was born of Italian immigrant parents in San Francisco, where she resided for the first 57 years of her life, before moving to Nevada County California in 1981. She returned to the east bay area community of Rossmoor for the final eight years of her life. Margherita lived an exceptional life of good health until her final months. She was happily married to Piero Perotti, whom she met in middle school at the age of 10. Together they traveled domestically and abroad visiting family and friends. Margherita Perotti served as an early example of a women’s role in modern society. She was active in the insurance and real estate industries from the age of 18.

Margherita is survived by her six children, Paul, James, Peter, Marianne, John, and Rita. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Piero Perotti in 2006. She had 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 7 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Rossmoor, with a reception to follow. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Margherita’s life.

In lieu of flowers, donations are encouraged to be sent to Hospice of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Avenue, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
