Obituary of Margaret Glaeser

Margaret Glaeser

Margaret Glaeser passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Lake Wildwood on March 21, 2015.

Margaret was born the youngest of eight children to Olive and Frank Schaeffer in Alameda, California; she grew up in San Francisco, graduating from Lowell High School.

She married the love of her life, Lewis Glaeser, in 1943. Married for 71 years, Lewis passed away in December 2014.

Margaret tutored English as a second language; she also transcribed Braille books. After moving from Marin County to Lake Wildwood 27 years ago, they enjoyed RVing and golfing for many years. She volunteered her time at IFM, retiring from that just last October. In the late years, her daily crossword puzzles were a must.

She is survived by her son Bob (Lillian), who lived with them and was their caretaker. She had 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a true lady.

Remembrances can be made in Margaret’s name to Hospice of the Foothills. No services are planned.
