Obituary of Louise Jeanette Crowder

Louise Jeanette Crowder went to heaven on Sept. 10, 2016. She was 92.

She was born to Louie and Lena Tappero on Oct. 14, 1923.

Louise was raised in Butte, Montana. The Tappero family included her sister Marie and brothers Joe and Louie. The family moved to Nevada City when she was 8.

She was married for 41 years and raised four children in Grass Valley. The Crowder kids were very active members of the Spring Hill 4-H Club and Louise was a 4-H cooking teacher for five years. She has seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Louise was a great cook and baker. Her delicious cookies and pies will be missed by all. She enjoyed making jams and jellies; embroidering pictures; playing cards and Bingo. Also, Louise loved to travel. She treasured her trips to Hawaii, Italy, France and Germany.

Cemetery services will be held at 4 p.m., on Sept. 16 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
