Obituary of Lori Elaine Carter

Beloved mother of two, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and colleague, passed away on August 11, 2014 at UC Davis Memorial Hospital with her family at her side.

Lori was born on March 19, 1955 in Grass Valley, Calif., attended Nevada Union High School and later moved to Sacramento where she worked at Access Dental in administration.

Lori is remembered for her cheerful and outgoing personality and for her honesty and generosity. She loved nature and enjoyed taking others hiking and camping around California, especially those visiting from other countries. She also volunteered with Agua Viva Ministries helping to build churches in Mexico.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Austin) Shu; her son, Logan Petrone, two grandsons, two brothers, a sister, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lori was preceded in death by her mother and father, Glenda and Charles Carter.

Those wishing to honor Lori’s life are encouraged to plant a tree, volunteer for a worthy cause, and to become an organ donor.
