Obituary of Lola Gustafson

Lola Grace Gustafson, a resident of Penn Valley, Calif. passed peacefully into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2014. She was 90.

Friends are invited to share in the celebration of Lola’s life at 11 a.m. on Aug. 23 at First Baptist Church, 1866 Ridge Road, Grass Valley, CA 95945.

Lola was born in Houston, Minn., as Lola Grace Anderson. She was true to her middle name — a strong woman, full of grace. With a gift for hospitality and a love for people, she was deeply committed to her family and her faith and never missed the opportunity for an adventure or a good laugh.

After graduating from Bethel College and the University of Minnesota, Lola worked for many years as a Dental Hygienist. Lola married Paul Gustafson on April 2, 1949 and they celebrated 62 loving years together prior to his passing in 2012.

Throughout her life, Lola enjoyed traveling, socializing, cooking, serving in her local church and spending time with her family and friends.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved son, Robert (Barbara) Gustafson; grandson, Nathan Gustafson; granddaughter, Sarah (Jeffrey) Passage, as well as many other dear family members and friends.
