Obituary of Kenton Gifford Waechter, M.D,

Kenton Gifford Waechter, M.D, of Ocean Park, WA, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on November 13, 2018. He was 88.
Ken was born on August 17, 1930 in Washington Court House, OH, to Edwin and Eva (Hane) Waechter.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, which began his love of flying, and he was a small aircraft pilot. He loved to fish and would fly his plane to many of his fishing adventures in the U.S. and Canada.
Ken was a retired OBGYN who had a practice with his wife, Elaine, for several decades in Grass Valley, CA, before moving to Ocean Park in 2002.
He married Elaine (Harkness) on December 16, 1974 in Chilliwack, British Columbia, Canada.
Ken is survived by his wife of 44 years, Elaine; son Kurt of Citrus Heights, CA; stepdaughter, Cinde of Ocean Park, WA; grandson Joshua Burgess of Baltimore, MD; great-granddaughters, Kelly and Emily Burgess of Frederick, MD and stepson, Greg, of Sacramento, CA.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Arlynn, and son, Craig.

A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m., on December 9, 2018 at Ocean Beach Presbyterian Church, 5000 N. Place in Seaview, Washington.
