Obituary of Kenneth Michael Mason

Kenneth Mason

Kenneth Michael Mason died on July 10, 2015 in Grass Valley. He was 66.

He was born on May 18, 1949 in San Francisco.

Ken was into surfing and built his own surfboards. He was also into whitewater kayaking and built his own kayaks.

He was an outstanding fly-fisherman and built his own rods and tied his own ties.

Ken was also into photography and took outstanding black and white photos that he developed himself. He also loved to play darts.

Ken was a master woodworker as a carpenter and contractor.

Ken attended the College of San Mateo, Butte College and Chico State University.

He is survived by his brother Tom (Sue) Mason, his sister Pat Mason and his two nephews Matt and David Mason of Ukiah, California.

He was pre-deceased by his mother and father, Leslie and Bert Mason.

He will be missed by his family and very best friends, Kevin and Kim Brown of Nevada City.

He spent the last year of his life at Wolf Creek Care Center where he was treated with love and care by the staff.
