Obituary of June Catherine DuPee

June DuPee

June Catherine DuPee (nee Curry) went to her Lord and Savior on Oct. 10, 2015.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Dec. 19 at Grace Lutheran Church, 1979 Ridge Road, Grass Valley.

June was born Dec. 18, 1931, in Floyada, Texas, to Emory and Doyce Curry but lived most of her life in California (Sacramento area, Lakeport, Petaluma, and Grass Valley/Nevada City).

She was an avid reader and sports fan (go Giants and 49ers) and enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, knitting, and playing pinochle.

On moving to this area, she was an active member of the Widowed Persons Association in Grass Valley and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, Teresa Naleway of Grass Valley, Laura DuPee of Nevada City, and Glenn DuPee of Sacramento; her sisters, Geneva Rogers and Joyce (David) Kuhlmann in Texas; and grandsons, Jack Naleway of Kalispell, Montana, and Matthew DuPee of Sacramento.

She is predeceased by her husband Jack DuPee and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
