Obituary of Josephine Hackl

In loving memory of Josephine “Fini” Hackl who passed away peacefully surrounded by family, friends, and dedicated staff on July 27, 2019 at Golden Empire Facility in Grass Valley. Josephine was born in Germany on October 19, 1928 to Michael and Louisa Jankowski. She married her husband Joe Hackl in 1953. They immigrated to the United States and moved to Grass Valley in 1962. Josephine and her husband Joe worked for many years at the Grass Valley Broadcasting Company. They both belonged to the local German Club. Josephine was a loving wife to her husband and will be dearly missed by all. She is survived by her niece and nephew and great nieces. Josephine is preceded in death by her parents and six older siblings. In September Josephine’s ashes will join her husband’s in the Asherium at Hooper and Weaver.
