Obituary of Jon Richard Wapp

Jon Richard Wapp passed away March 24, 2015, due to complications from surgery. He was 76.

Services will be announced at a later date.

He was born March 10, 1939, in Wisconsin to parents Martin and Mary (Wilson) Wapp.

Jon served in the U.S. Navy. He was the owner of Bay Area Glass in San Francisco for 34 years.

He retired in 2009 in Penn Valley, and was a member of the Gold Country Flywheelers where he served as president for two years, starting his third year. He also was a regular attendee of Twin Cities Church.

He is survived by his wife Lynne; sons, Dennis Wapp and Jim (Jackie) Wapp; daughter Karen Landi; stepdaughters, Vikki Sandoval and Valerie (Allen) Prowes; sisters, Carol Gaumond and Sheila Amboy; sister-in-law Pat Wapp; grandchildren, Amanda and Joe Landi, Thoma Prasaad, Paul Wapp, Candice Friscia, Ed Gomez, Jami and Alli Beer; and great-grandchildren Chris Stevens, Colton Danos, Akasha James Beer.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Mary (Wilson) Wapp, and brother Bill Wapp.
