Obituary of Jerry Dennis Belfield, Sr.

Jerry Belfield Sr.

Jerry Dennis Belfield, Sr., entered into rest at Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento on March 14, 2015, with his family at the bedside.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Jerry was born Oct. 25, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois. He was 79.

Jerry was a graduate of Lowell High School in San Francisco and San Francisco City College. He was in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from the San Francisco Police Department after 27 years of service.

He was a member of the Grass Valley Senior Bowling and the Gold Country Nuggets Leagues. In addition to bowling, he enjoyed gardening, woodworking and collecting.

Jerry leaves loving wife DeeAnn; son Jerry Dennis Jr. of Daly City; daughter Donna Belfield; grandchildren Scott and Allison Kirby of Grass Valley, Stephanie and Eduardo Pena of South San Francisco, and Katie Belfield; greatgrandson Jackson Wyatt Benher of Sonora; brother John David Belfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family requests memorial gifts to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital ICU.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
