Gregg Thomas Stransky, of Independence, MO, formerly of Penn Valley and Nevada City, passed away July 4, 2017 at his home. He was 61.

Per his request, cremation has taken place and a private memorial will be held at a later date.

Gregg was born on October 10, 1955 in Palo Alto, CA to Clifford and Helen (Thomas) Stransky. He was a graduate of Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA. For many years, Gregg owned a landscaping company in CA. Although Gregg moved to the Independence area in October of this year, he enjoyed exploring his new home. He is survived by his mother Helen Stransky; brother Jeffrey Stransky; sister Susan (Royd) Rosenquist and her husband; nephew Jeremy Houle; great-nieces Taylor and Brianna; his best friend Chuck Holmes; extended family and many friends. Gregg is preceded in death by his father Clifford Stransky in 2012. Online condolences may be expressed at http://www.speakschapel.com (Arrangements: Speaks Suburban Chapel 816-373-3600).
