Obituary of Edward Michael Wisniewski

Edward Michael Wisniewski passed away on Oct. 31, 2015 in Grass Valley.

He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on Aug. 19, 1949.

Ed was many things to many people: Jersey boy, Berkeley grad, world traveler, avid reader, diehard 49er fan, supportive coach, doting dziadzia.

But most importantly, he was a loving husband and father, and a strong believer in Christ. He put his family first in everything he did and never asked for anything in return.

He is survived by his wife Lori; his children, Ashley, Jacob, Megan, Ross and Spencer; and his grandson Jack Camy.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary; his aunts, Stella Suwak and Helen Nelson; and his uncles, John Suwak and Henry Nelson.

Although Ed was far too young to leave this earthly world, he led a full life and embarked on many adventures abroad with Lori, as well as numerous adventures close to home with his children. And as Ed always liked to say, “It’s not the years, it’s the miles.”

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 5, 2015, at Simple Truth Church, 455 Sutton Way, Grass Valley.
