Dean Morrison

Dean Allen Morrison passed away on Aug. 25, 2015. He was 82.

Dean was born Aug. 6, 1933. He was raised in Nevada City and attended Nevada City High School where he exceled in basketball and football.

He served in the U.S. Navy. After leaving Nevada County, he lived in Reno, Nevada and Fairbanks, Alaska. Upon retiring from sales, he moved to Mazatlan, Mexico.

Dean and his wife Jeri lived there for 21 years. He enjoyed golf, fishing and family.

He is survived by his daughters, Deana (Jack) Melugin, Beverlee (Dave) Curry, Victoria (Ed) Prechter, and Kristine (Jamie Heilbron) Hodkins; step-son James Ryan; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grace (Bennett) Peterson, Myron Morrison, and his wife Jeanette “Jerri” Morrison. Per his wishes, there will be no services.
