Obituary of Dale Henry Koster

Dale Henry Koster of Sherwood, Oregon, passed away May 12, 2016, at his home. He was 78.

Dale was born March 2, 1938, in Modesto, California to Edwin and Edna Koster. After graduation in 1955 he joined the Navy for one term.

He worked as an Appraiser for the Bureau of Reclamation, then a private commercial Appraiser with work taking him to Nevada County, Plumas County, New Mexico, Washington, and finally settling in Oregon.

His life was filled with family, his Newfoundland dogs, going to dog shows, hunting, fishing, and being a season-ticket holder of the Portland Trailblazers. He bowled for many years with his four sons and went to many bowling tournaments.

He is survived by his wife Edie; his five children, Richard (Tina), Kelly (Bill Lapham), Ronald (Denise), Randy (Courtney), and Ken; two step-daughters, Laura Greenhaw and Kristian Wilson; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Evert; and many extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Edna; and his sister, Shirley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, at Simple Truth Church Northpoint located at 455 Sutton Way, Grass Valley, CA 95945.
