Obituary of Betty Antink

Betty Antink

Betty J. Antink passed away Sept. 25, 2014, in Grass Valley, Calif. She was 86.

Betty was born March 11, 1928, in Portland, Ore,. to Joe and Mildred Barta.

She attended R.A. Long High School in Longview, Wash., and graduated in 1946. She married Gus Prentiss, lived in Concord, Calif. and they had two sons.

Betty was an advocate for Domestic Workers of America, and was a caregiver in the Bay Area and Nevada County. She remarried in 1994 to Victor Antink of Sun City West until his death in July of 2012 and then moved to Grass Valley until her death.

She loved swimming, hiking, sewing, baking with her great-grandchildren and was a member of the Lutheran church, and a longtime member of TOPS.

Betty is survived by her sons, Charles A. Prentiss of Anioch and A. Carl Prentiss of Grass Valley; brother Darrell Barta of Longview; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
