Obituary of Azaylea Bloom Steiner-Eaton

“Dearest baby Zay, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.”

Heaven’s gain is our loss when our angel Azaylea Bloom Steiner-Eaton was called by the Lord on Sept. 13, 2015.

Azaylea passed peacefully in her home in the loving arms of her family. Azaylea was born in Grass Valley on April 2, 2014.

During her short stay here on earth, Azaylea touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Her passion for life included her family, animals, the outdoors, and being snuggled and sung to.

She brought joy and happiness to everyone she touched. In the last months of her life, her struggle with mitochondrial disease finally ended and she found peace once again when heaven called her home.

Although her life was brief, it was an enormous gift that will live on as she lives in our hearts, souls, and memories. Azaylea is deeply loved and missed by all her family including her parents Alisyn Steiner and Alec Eaton, and her grandparents Michelle Pusich and Jody and Scott Eaton.

We will be celebrating Azaylea’s life at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015 at Twin Cities Church,

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Mitochondrial Disease Foundation at

Arrangements are under the care of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
