Obituary of Arlene Ann Cartwright

Arlene Ann Cartwright passed away August 28, 2016. She was 75.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m., at the Hooper and Weaver Reception Hall on Wednesday, Sept. 28. It will be a potluck style reception. Please contact Brenda at caligirl_brenda@hotmail.com

Arlene was born Nov. 20, 1940 in Grass Valley to Arthur and Isabel Brown. She attended school at Mt. St. Mary’s School and Nevada Union High School.

She enjoyed bowling on local leagues, watching local softball games, and especially loved watching Nevada Union High School football games.

She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Herndon of Roseville, CA; sons, Glen Cartwright of Nevada City, Wayne Brown of Nevada City; grandsons, Greg Riley, Cory Cartwright, and Jason Wethern; and granddaughters, Caitlyn Brown and Jennah Brown.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gene Cartwright; her son Bill Cartwright; and her granddaughter Beth Riley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
