Mary Jane Hart

Mary Jane (Mickey) Hart passed away peacefully on Feb. 15, 2013, at Springhill Manor in Grass Valley, Calif. She was 90.

A Holy Mass will be held in her memory Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. at St.Patrick’s Catholic Church, 235 Chapel St., Grass Valley.

Mickey was originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and was a longtime volunteer of the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Auxiliary where she continued a long life of service that also included volunteering for the war effort and in various hospitals. Mickey’s professional career included working for Montgomery Ward for 25 years.

She is survived by her son, Jack Hart and his wife, Susan; daughter, Nancy Troutner, and her husband, Jim; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren including, Skylar and Jimmy Troutner of Nevada City.

She was surrounded by the love of the family she so beautifully cared for over the years. Her last days at Springhill Manor were gratefully made peaceful and comfortable by the loving staff.

Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Griggs Hart, and son, Robert Griggs Hart, Jr.
