Lois DeLaunay entered the gates of heaven Oct. 4, 2012, in Vacaville, Calif. She was 66.

Memorial services will take place at noon Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Memorial Park in Grass Valley, Calif. Friends can pay their respects at Sunset Lawns Chapel of Chimes, 4701 Marysville Blvd., Sacramento, Calif.

Lois DeLaunay was born Sept. 30, 1946, in Sacramento to J.D. Marbut and Kirby Loraine Grey. Lois was one of 11 siblings, including her identical twin sister, Jois Marbut. Lois DeLaunay was a hero, a specialist and a strongly devoted mother and sister. Lois worked in security, the wood business and janitorial. Her passion was to make people laugh and entertain them with her music. She strived in every way possible for her kids and family to have everything they needed and more, all along never caring about herself. Lois was from Gardenland, Sacramento, but also spent a lot of time in Grass Valley with her dad from the ’50s to the present. She is physically gone but never forgotten!

Lois was survived by her daughter, Kirby L. DeLaunay; son Rockney J. Ryan; sisters Nancy Scott, Jois Marbut and Mary Stottle; and brothers Czar and Myron.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kirby Loraine Grey and J.D Marbut.
