Leslie Baker

Leslie Donald Baker passed away Nov. 14, 2012, at Springhill Manor, Grass Valley, Calif. He was 77.

There will be a service at 1 p.m. Nov. 30, 2012, at Hooper & Weaver Mortuary, 459 Hollow Way, Nevada City, Calif., Andy Owens officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Leslie was born March 28, 1936, to William G. Baker and Orbie E. Helms in Jennings, Okla. He served in the U.S. Army and was a long time miner.

He is survived by his daughter, Belinda Eckman; sons Lawrence Baker and Leslie Baker Jr.; brothers James and Wesley Baker; sisters Dorthy Stacy, Nadine North; and four grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Arnold, Garland and Lawrence Baker.

All arrangements are being handled by Hooper & Weaver.
