Larry Monestier

Larry Monestier passed away on Feb. 14, 2013, at home in Lake Wildwood, Penn Valley, Calif. He was 75.

At his request, no services will be held.

Larry was born on Feb. 28, 1937, to Joseph and Gertrude Monestier in San Francisco, Calif. A second generation San Franciscan, Larry celebrated the opening of the Golden Gate Bridge pushed in a stroller by his grandmother.

His family moved to Marin, where he attended Drake High and College of Marin. After marrying wife Sally on April 15, 1978, together they owned and operated Eagle Glass Co. Inc. in San Rafael for more than 20 years. Family vacations, road trips and baseball were life passions.

Larry is survived by his wife, Sally; daughters, Michelle (Johnson) and Therese (Doug) Laudenslager; grandchildren, Kayleen, Dylan and Paige Johnson, Katie, Mathew and Jenna Laudenslager; great-granddaughter, Chloe Wilson.
