Ivan Sevart

Ivan Meyers Sevart of Nevada City died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at home. He was 90.

Mr. Sevart was born Nov. 25, 1922, in Ohio to Ivan and Addie (Woolsey) Sevart. He graduated from high school and served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in the Philippines during World War II. He worked for Pacific Bell Telephone. He enjoyed his family, home and the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Muriel; daughter Linda; son Ivan; grandchildren Stacie, Jenny, Ivan and Michael; and great-grandchildren Brooke and Jay.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or the Nevada County Food Bank or Hospice of the Foothills.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
