Ireta Shuholm

A memorial service will take place for Ireta Evelyn Shuholm at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 at the Grass Valley United Methodist Church.

Ireta was raised in Montana and Washinton. In her early 20s, she moved to California, doing housekeeping for relatives. They raised their family in San Jose, where Ireta was active in the Methodist church and worked as a volunteer for numerous hunger organizations. She loved hiking, bowling, sewing, baking cookies for kids in the neighborhood and providing for people in need.

Ireta lived the last five years at Brunswick Village.

She is survived by her sons, Craig (Erin) Shuholm of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Kevin (Manette) Shuholm of Grass Valley, and grandchildren Liesel, Rebekah, Olivia and Blake.

Ireta was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Rinker and Maxine Jones of Washington.
