Eunice Knutson

Eunice Knutson died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at Atria Assisted Living in Grass Valley. She was 90.

No services will be conducted.

Mrs. Knutson was born on Aug. 20, 1923, to Elmer and Dora Theide in Louisberg, Minn.

She met and married Ralph Knutson while attending college. They were married for 52 years when he passed in 2000. Eunice worked in a bomber plant during World War II, then as a secretary until she retired in 1987. They moved to Grass Valley in 1989.

Eunice loved to travel, seeing much of Europe in the 1980s.

She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by children Tammy Shurte and Jon Journey; brother, Curt Morken (Dixie); sister, Corrine Gustafson (Merlin); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and her older brother, Wayne.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary.
