Eugene Grimm

Eugene (Gene) L. Grimm went home to be with his Lord on Sept. 22, 2013.

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, 11481 Highway 174, Grass Valley, on Saturday, Oct. 12.

Gene was born April 9, 1930, in Los Angeles.

Gene was known as a faithful, kind, Jesus-loving, prayer warrior who brought blessings to others.

At age 20, he served in the U.S. Army Infantry during the Korean Conflict. He then spent 17 years at Helms Bakery including attending the American Institute of Baking and then devoted 25 years as properties supervisor at Thousand Pines Christian Camp and Conference Center in Crestline, Calif.

He was blessed with many talents and enjoyed woodworking, all construction trades, landscaping, fishing and baking. He always worked with a servant’s heart. He believed that what God gives you is meant to be shared.

He is survived by wife, Loretta; four married children, 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Facility Improvement Fund at Calvary Bible Church.
