Ellen Nash

Ellen Victoria Nash passed away on Dec. 9, 2012, at Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital. She was 96.

A memorial service will be held in January at Calvary Bible Church of Grass Valley at a date yet to be determined.

Ellen was born Sept. 4, 1916, in her paternal grandparent’s home in Palm City, Calif., to Inez M. (Downs) and Willard A. Lindgren. Ellen’s early formative years were spent in Coronado, Calif., where she attended grade school through the first year of high school.

After her mother divorced and remarried Ellen attended high schools in Santa Ana, San Diego and then El Centro High where she graduated in 1935. Ellen was married to Jack S. Nash on Sept 26, 1942. Ellen was a member of Calvary Bible Church since 1972 where she served at times as bookkeeper and deaconess. She will be dearly missed.

Remaining family include Jim and Helen Jeffers of Fair Oaks, Calif.; Michael and April Lindgren of Livermore, Calif., and Stanley Tolliver of Oregon.

Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Herbert Gerrish; brother, Orton Lindgren; sister, Bobbie Hepler, and her husband, Jack Nash.
