Dwane G. Larson

Dwane Larson passed away peacefully May 10, 2013, with his wife and daughters by his side, holding his hands. After a battle with cancer the last year and a half, Dwane stayed strong and positive. He was 58.

Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1655 Noreen Drive, San Jose, Calif.

Dwane was born Dec. 29, 1954, in Provo, Utah, to Lloyd and Jean Larson. He graduated with an AA degree in automotive design from De Anza College.

He married Loretta M. Storti in San Jose, Calif., on June 26, 1988. Dwane moved from San Jose to Grass Valley in August 2001 with his family.

Dwane enjoyed the outdoors and loved to go fishing, boating, camping and water skiing and to ride quads with his family. He was a motorcycle racer and sprint car driver in San Jose and loved to watch NASCAR.

Mr. Larson is survived by his wife, Loretta; daughters Stephanie, Melissa and Jennifer Larson, all of Grass Valley; father, Lloyd Larson of San Jose, Calif.; siblings Kathy Hageman of Fairfield and Ted, Bert and Larry Larson, all of San Jose, Calif., Mark of Livermore and Amy Dold of Sparks, Nev. Other survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Dwane will always and forever be in our hearts and an inspiration to all of us and to everyone who knew him.
