Calvin Hiebert

Calvin W. Hiebert passed away Sept. 13, 2012, in Carmichael. He was 52.

A celebration of life will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at the Willo Restaurant. Please bring a dish to share with others and your favorite “Cal” stories.

Calvin was born on May 17, 1960, in Oakland to Kenneth L. and Jeanne Hiebert. He served in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1981. After his service, Cal worked for several years helping his mom and dad run the Willo Restaurant, also working on weekends for the Oakland Raiders as Mark Davis’ bodyguard. After his folks sold The Willo, he worked driving trucks for local lumber yards. Cal’s hobbies included riding motorcycles, and he also belonged to Sundowners Motorcycle Club.

Cal is survived by his parents Ken and Jeanne Hiebert; and sister Lisa Kay Hiebert, all of Grass Valley; ex-wife Sue Cooper, children Jason and Jamie and granddaughter Shelby, “brothers” from Sundowners MC and numerous other friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Wes and Vivian Hiebert; grandmother Rose Baxter (his Bogie); and aunt Ereva Bowman “Aunt Revie.”

Arrangements are under direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
