Northern Mines 26th Annual Art Exhibit on display in November

Special to The Union

The Pioneer Arts Club of Nevada County sponsors two major art exhibitions a year; a May Membership Show and The Northern Mines Open Art Exhibition in the fall. The November show is juried and open to all visual artists located in Northern and Central California, providing a wonderful opportunity for local residents to see exciting, original works of art by talented artists. The reception on Nov. 15 is a great way to mingle with the artists and to see fine art displayed at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. Awards will be presented to the Best of Show, first, second and third places in seven different categories, including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen & ink, charcoal and pencil, mixed media, and 3- D. The Pioneer Arts Club is pleased to have as the judge, Jerianne Van Dijk, a well-known professional artist from Grass Valley.
