NORMAN LONG

Norman R. Long died May 23 at his home in Grass Valley. He was 69.

Burial took place at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Grass Valley.

Mr. Long was born July 21, 1938, in Alhambra to Robert W. Long and Harriet Eleanor Manske. He attended Fullerton High School, Fullerton Junior College, the University of San Francisco and the University of Hawaii. He worked for Beckman Instruments, Grass Valley Group, Tektronix and the Golden Empire Convalescent Hospital.



He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Abundant Life Church, and the Senior Center. He enjoyed traveling, music and painting.

Mr. Long is survived by his sisters Jean Messenheimer of Leesburg, Va., and Virginia Cohoon of Central Point, Ore.; brother, Robert W. Long of Spearfish, S.D., and 13 nieces and nephews.




Arrangements are under the direction of Hooper & Weaver Mortuary in Nevada City.
