Norma Machlanski

Graveside services for Norma Jerry Machlanski of Penn Valley will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Covina Hills.

Mrs. Machlanski died Sunday, Feb. 9, at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. She was 85.



She was born on Dec. 3, 1917, in South Harbor, Minn., to Morris Larson and Lela Marlin. She married Sigmund Machlanski on May 20, 1950, in Las Vegas, Nev. They owned and operated Yucca Valley Equipment Rentals in Southern California until they retired in 2000. She enjoyed real estate and traveling in the western United States with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Sigmund Machlanski of Penn Valley; daughter Kristy Flynn of Dixon; and brothers Elmer Larson of Napa, Raymond Larson of Upland and Ronald Larson of San Dimas.




She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jill, who died at age 15 in 1967.

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Angels Mortuary.
