Wine tasting and boat cruise benefits Pleasant Valley School District

Pleasant Valley Elementary School District’s Educational Foundation, Roots and Wings, will be hosting its 20th Annual Wine Tasting and Boat Cruise on Saturday, Aug. 3, at Commodore Park in Lake Wildwood. Water taxis will transport guests between lakefront homes as they taste a variety of local wines, enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and listen to live music performed by local musicians. Drawings for prizes are available at each boat house. Boats will depart between 3:30 and 4 p.m. and return to the park by 7:30 p.m. The foundation is now taking reservations, which must be paid in advance as the event sells out quickly. The cost is $50 per person. All proceeds support the arts programs and many other educational enhancements for students and teachers in the Pleasant Valley School District. For more information or to pay online, go to http://www.pennvalleyschools.k12.ca.us, email Susanne Vaughn at susanne@thevaughns.net or visit the Roots and Wings website on Facebook at facebook.com/PVRootsandWings.
